After an 18-year career in Europe, I packed up my records from Barcelona (Spain) to hit the NYC scene in 2008.
My areas of expertise range (depending on the place) from 60's groovy sounds, 70's and 80's funk and disco to nu disco, balearic, house and underground dance music. I like to watch the crowd, showcasing my skills on the turntables at “setting the mood” and selecting the perfect playlist to match any party, club or event.
Some people have said that I helped reinvigorate the NYC Boogaloo scene. The US media has taken notice as well.
I have received wonderful coverage for my work with boogaloo, from a profile with the Associated Press to favorable mentions on NPR, Vice Magazine, Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal and New York Times, to spotlights in regional media such as the NY Daily News, Time Out, NY Post and NBC NY Nonstop Sound. I have also appeared on local NY TV programs such as Tiempo on WABC, Good Day NY on Fox Ch. 5, CNN, and NY 1.
I also been strutting my stuff at some legendary festivals as well as rocking club nights at some of NY city's hippest nightspots.
I do a monthly show on London Soho Radio and ocassionaly on Radio Glady's Palmeras and provided music for movies, short films, theater, broadcast & fashion shows, exclusive private and consumer cultural/lifestyle events.
Currently I have a residency at Ethyl's in NYC, spinning classic disco and funk but I love to travel in case you want me to play in your area.
